Shooting Strings...

Shooting strings are a pivotal part in stringing a lacrosse sick. They are used not only for style, but also to adjust and control the amount of hold, and whip that is in your stick. Like other parts in stringing, there are multiple ways to string shooting strings.  There are two types of shooting strings:  weaved and rolled.

Weaved Shooting Strings

Weaved shooting strings are the more common of the two types. This type of shooting string affects the hold and whip in your stick. To string this type, weave the string through the mesh holes, and then back over the string. This type is recommended for beginners.

Rolled Shooting Strings

Rolled shooting strings are very different from weaved shooting strings. With weaved shooters, the string is weaved on both sides of the mesh, and with rolled shooters, the string is mostly on the back of the mesh. This method is used when your stick has plenty of hold and some whip, with no shooters in it.
