Traditional Style...

Traditional style stringing is very different from regular mesh stringing. This style of stringing involves cross lace and weaving it up and down leathers that you install on your head in the shape of diamonds. It is a very tedious process, with many different steps. This type of stringing requires constant adjusting of the strings, to keep the pocket clean and crisp. This type of stringing is only recommended for experienced stringers. The videos below demonstrate the process of stringing a traditional stick.

Leathers & Sidewall

This is the first step when stringing a traditional stick. This is where you would install the four leathers in your stick, along with the sidewall. This is unusual, because in a regular mesh stick, the sidewall would not be installed until the second step. These two stringing styles are very different.

Cross Lace: Part 1

Stringing the cross lace is the most challenging part of stringing the traditional stick. This video demonstrates how to complete the first part of the cross lace, between the plastic of the head and the first leather.

Cross Lace: Part 2 & 4

This video is a continuaton of the first cross lace video. It shows how to string up in between the first and second leathers of a stick, along with in between the third and fourth leathers. It is the same process, using the same knots and weaving techniques.

Cross Lace: Part 3

This video demonstrates how to string down, in between the second and third leather. This is also the same way to string down in between the fourth leather and the plastic. Refer back to this video when you reach the fourth leather.

Shooting Strings

When installing shooting strings into your traditional stick, use the weaved method just like you would in a regular stick.
